Nanga Parbat, The massive massif – Killer Mountain, Pakistan’s second tallest and world eight tallest on planet. The Karakoram Ventures offers both trekking to Nanga Parbat and Expedition. It has beckoned to mountaineers for centuries and rewards all who scale her with a dazzling variety of ecosystems, micro climates, and some of the continent’s most jaw-dropping views. The goal of climbing mountains is, of course, to get to the top, but given the idyllic alpine scenery up to the base camp here, you might find yourself more than a little inclined to linger on the way. Fairy Meadows, at an altitude of about 3,300 meters above the sea level, it serves as the launching point for trekkers summiting on the Raikot face of the Nanga ParbatThe grassland is surrounded by thick alpine forest.

However, this package is specially designed to cover only trekking to the  of Nanga Parbat base camp via Fairy Meadows. Our Itinerary starts to follow once you reach Islamabad. Tour Plan


Day 01: Arrival at Islamabad

Welcome to Islamabad! You will be greeted by an English-speaking assistant at the airport after immigration and custom. The assistant will escort you to bus for your hotel. We will have ample time for sightseeing and shopping in colorful old bazaars of Rawalpindi and new markets of Islamabad. We may also drive to the modern Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.


Day 02: Fly to Gilgit / Drive to Chilas

We rise early to be at the airport in time for our flight to Gilgit. If the weather is good, we’ll be treated to one of the finest views available in the world of aviation.

If the flight is unable to operate because of bad weather, we will resort to travel by road on Karakoram Highway (KKH) to Chilas. The drive is compensated by the beautiful scenery along the Karakoram highway and Indus gorges.



      • Drive: 04-05 hrs.
      • Hike, 3-4 hrs. Maximum Altitude (3200m).

Today after breakfast drive to Raikot on Karakoram Highway. Then further drive by jeep to Tato & hike to Fairy Meadows.

Tato: The steep and difficult ascent on a rocky trail will lead the group to a small hamlet of Tato which is comprised of few clay lofts scattered around.

Fairy Meadows: The traditional base camp of Nanga Parbat, known as Fairy Meadows. The lush green plateau presents some of the most spectacular sights one can ever witness.



Hike, 5-6 hrs. Maximum Altitude (3450m). Early morning trek to Biyal Camp for a closer and clearer view of Nanga Parbat and then onward to Nanga Parbat base camp and back to Fairy Meadows.


Trek down to Tato and jeep to Raikot. Then drive on KKH to Besham.


After breakfast we will drive back to Islamabad on historic Karakoram Highway, which connect Pakistan with china stopping at scenic points for photo ops and also in Mansehra to visit Ashoka Rock Edicts. Mansehra Rock Edicts are fourteen edicts of the Mauryan emperor Ashoka, inscribed on rocks in Mansehra. The edicts are cut into three boulders and date back to 3rd century BC and they are written in the ancient Indic script of Ghandara culture, Kharosthi. The edicts mention aspects of Ashoka’s dharma. This site is World Heritage Sites tentative list. After Mansehra rock edicts visit, we will pass through the alpine scenery of Abbottabad towards Islamabad. Evening back to Islamabad, proceed to airport for onward flight out of country

Trip booking procedure: Once you booked the desired Tour package with The Karakoram Ventures. We will sent you an email for the confirmation of you booking. After that we will sent you the detailed materials which will be really useful to understand even the minor details about your tour. You should have a passport at least valid for the next 6 months. The Karakoram venture will help you to get a Pakistani visa for that purpose you have to send us a Scanned image of your passport. We will sent you an invitation letter, addressing the nearest Pakistani Embassy. There are 2 different ways to apply for the tourist visa. The conventional way – Filling the visa form and submitting along with required documents in the nearest Pakistani Embassy or consulate. You can also fill the visa form Online at: https://visa.nadra.gov.pk/tourist-visa/ . You have to upload the required informations. It might take 8 – 10 working days. There will be an increase of US$ 80 every month after January. Our trekking holiday prices will not change once you have paid the deposit so the price when you book is the price you will pay. Register yourselves early to avoid increase in holiday prices. The given price for the trek is not negotiable unless you have a large private group. Price discrimination We strongly believe that foreign tourists should not pay more than locals. The reason for what may seem to be price discrimination is purely because of the additional and necessary services included as you will find under holiday information. Deposit amount for Pakistani nationals The deposit amount for Pakistani nationals is PKR 10,000 or 10% of total price, whichever is greater. The deposit amount is non-refundable and non-transferrable to other departures. Refund policy Deposit: Once paid, the deposit is non-refundable as it will be spent on making in-country arrangements. In case of visa rejection, a refund/partial-refund (if costs incurred) will be considered. In such cases, a valid proof of visa rejection must be submitted to our office within 72 hours of rejection. The deposit in non-refundable for Pakistani nationals in all cases. Balance: Pay the balance amount on arrival in Pakistan on the first day. Currency All foreign tourists are charged in US Dollars (USD) while Pakistani tourists are charged in Pakistani Rupees (PKR). Single Supplement Separate hotel rooms (single supplement) will cost additional US$ 390. This includes all hotel nights. This payment should be made with the balance amount. Separate tent (single tent) will cost additional US$ 160. This includes cost of additional porterage. This payment should be made with the balance amount upon arrival.

The Tour cost is strictly based on the itinerary and the total number of hotel and camp nights mentioned therein. If the trip has to be delayed due to bad weather, road washouts, canceled or delayed flights, sickness, Government restrictions or any other contingency for which “The Karakoram Ventures” cannot make provisions, the resulting extra cost for such delay is not included. Form of payment: Advance payment 30 % of the land cost for the booking confirmation will be accepted via online transfer or deposit to the Bank account of The Karakorum Ventures. Rest of the Payment only will be accepted only in cash or a certified cheque. Cancellation & Refund: Cancellation must be notified either by a phone call or by email to the mentioned email address of The Karakoram Ventures. Cancellation charges shall be levied as follows: 30 days before departure 25 % of the advance booking fee, 29 – 15 days before departure 50 % of the land cost, 14 to 1 day before departure 90% of the land cost. No refund will be given for any unused portion of the trip. The host reserves the right to cancel the trip without prior notice for any reasons deemed appropriate by them. In such a case the registered participants will receive a full refund. Insurance: Visitors are advised to get the insurance that covers cancellation, accidents, health emergency evacuation, helicopter rescue, and loss or damage of baggage and personal effects. This insurance must be arranged directly with your agent/insurance company. Baggage: Every member is entitled to bring a maximum weight of 15 kg (International clients) and 10 kg (national clients) of personal baggage. Any excess baggage portage will be charged separately. Change of Itinerary: Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made only where deem advisable for the safety and comfort of the client. Liability: The Karakoram Ventures, its agents and employees will not be liable for any injury, death, damage, loss, accident, delay, theft, irregularity or acts of God, either by the acts of any company or person engaged in conducting the tour. Responsibilities: The Karakoram Ventures will provide transports, accommodations, meals and other necessary requirements which are mentioned in the tour itinerary. Ethical Considerations: Each participant should treat other Club member with respect, dignity, and honor. Use of violent behavior including altercation, insinuations of indecent kind, verbal and physical abuse and assault, aggravated behavior, or any other act amounting to unbecoming of member are strictly prohibited. Special respect for female members would be exercised. Sportsmen spirit shall be displayed at all times. Drugs: Using drugs or found party to drug sale or possession is strictly prohibited. Team Work: Our trip is expected to be an adventure trip and we will be camping using tents which will be erected with the help of the participants. All participants are expected to help each other to erect tents and to follow the instructions of Team Leader. It should be noted carefully that we will not use hotels for lodging until and unless we are facing unavoidable circumstances. Cultural Considerations: Photos and movies are permitted to be shot during our trip provided it is not objectionable to local people or any participant particularly females. These photos and movies are aimed for personal use only. Environmental Care All members would give due care for the local environmental care. Garbage (tins. Water bottles, wrappers, etc.) Shall be suitably disposed of without polluting water sources.
