Tour Plan


Day 01: Arrival at Islamabad

Arrival Islamabad today one of our staff will meet you at the airport and shift you to the hotel. Today either you can relax or you can enjoy an exploratory walk in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. For domestic tourist Hoteling at Islamabad is not included in the package. In other words Day 01 of this itinerary is not applicable for Pakistani tourists.

Day 02: Islamabad to Chilas

Total Duration: 12 Hours We rise early for the departure to chilas via Babusar pass to chilas. On the way we will have few stop including Naran Kagan, Babusar Pass.

Day 03: Chilas - Skardu

This day may be needed to complete the KKH (The longest high altitude paved road) journey from Chilas to Skardu. After 5 hours of journey on KKH we will take turn on Skardu road. After reaching Skardu you will be shift to Hotel.

Day 04: Skardu Visit Day 01

We rise early to visit some place in Skardu. we will start our visit from Shangrila resort, after spending few hour there is a 30 minute short and easy hike toward upper kachura lake. we will have lunch (Excluded) on the lake. For the sunset we will be at Kharpocho Fort and will visit Skardu Bazar for shopping. Other Spots to Cover: Budha Rock Sadpara Lake

Day 05: Drive to Shigar Valley

Rise early and drive to Shigar valley via Sarfaranga Cold desert, We have stop of 30 min and 10 min at Sarfaranga Cold Desert and Shigar view point respectively. other places to visit today Chutron valley (Hot Spring) crystal clear Hot water separate swimming pool for Men and womens. Local Feast. (Local Food and Interaction with local Community) Overnight Hotel

Day 06: Drive to Khaplu and Kharmang Valley

Today we will cover bit more as compared to previous days, so we have to rise early. All the way back to the same route towards Skardu, Firstly we drive towards Khaplu valley. After visiting Khaplu Fort we head up towards Kharmang Valley to visit Manthoka Waterfall and back to Skardu for overnight Hotel.

Day 07: Drive to Deosai / Chilas

If Deosai plan is accessible we will drive to Deosai and Stay overnight at Astore Valley otherwise we will be back to Chilas via the same route as we had taken earlier.

Day 08: Drive back to Islamabad

From Chilas we drive back to Islamabad. After reaching Islamabad tour will be end for Domestic tourists but foreigner guests will shift to hotel. The Next day will be your departure.

**Before requesting to register with us for this trip, we encourage intending participant that he/she should read and understand the following terms and conditions. Kindly note it, Do this tour at your own risk. For any query about the plan, please contact the mentioned contacts.

  • Reservations:
Reservations can be made by mailing. The Tour cost is strictly based on the itinerary and the total number of hotel and camp nights mentioned therein. If the trip has to be delayed due to bad weather, road washouts, canceled or delayed flights, sickness, Government restrictions or any other contingency for which “The Karakoram Ventures” cannot make provisions, the resulting extra cost for such delay is not included.
  • Form of payment:
Advance payment 30 % of the land cost for the booking confirmation will be accepted via online transfer or deposit to the Bank account of The Karakorum Ventures. Rest of the Payment only will be accepted only in cash or a certified cheque.
  • Cancellation & Refund:
Cancellation must be notified either by a phone call or by email to the mentioned email address of The Karakoram Ventures. Cancellation charges shall be levied as follows: 30 days before departure 25 % of the advance booking fee, 29 – 15 days before departure 50 % of the land cost, 14 to 1 day before departure 90% of the land cost. No refund will be given for any unused portion of the trip. The host reserves the right to cancel the trip without prior notice for any reasons deemed appropriate by them. In such a case the registered participants will receive a full refund.
  • Insurance:
Visitors are advised to get the insurance that covers cancellation, accidents, health emergency evacuation, helicopter rescue, and loss or damage of baggage and personal effects. This insurance must be arranged directly with your agent/insurance company.
  • Baggage:
Every member is entitled to bring a maximum weight of 15 kg (International clients) and 10 kg (national clients) of personal baggage. Any excess baggage portage will be charged separately.
  • Change of Itinerary:
Reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made only where deem advisable for the safety and comfort of the client.
  • Liability:
The Karakoram Ventures, its agents and employees will not be liable for any injury, death, damage, loss, accident, delay, theft, irregularity or acts of God, either by the acts of any company or person engaged in conducting the tour.
  • Responsibilities:
The Karakoram Ventures will provide transports, accommodations, meals and other necessary requirements which are mentioned in the tour itinerary.
  • Ethical Considerations:
Each participant should treat other Club member with respect, dignity, and honor. Use of violent behavior including altercation, insinuations of indecent kind, verbal and physical abuse and assault, aggravated behavior, or any other act amounting to unbecoming of member are strictly prohibited. Special respect for female members would be exercised. Sportsmen spirit shall be displayed at all times.
  • Drugs:
Using drugs or found party to drug sale or possession is strictly prohibited.
  • Team Work:
Our trip is expected to be an adventure trip and we will be camping using tents which will be erected with the help of the participants. All participants are expected to help each other to erect tents and to follow the instructions of Team Leader. It should be noted carefully that we will not use hotels for lodging until and unless we are facing unavoidable circumstances.
  • Cultural Considerations:
Photos and movies are permitted to be shot during our trip provided it is not objectionable to local people or any participant particularly females. These photos and movies are aimed for personal use only.
  • Environmental Care
All members would give due care for the local environmental care. Garbage (tins. Water bottles, wrappers, etc.) Shall be suitably disposed of without polluting water sources.
